Warfeather served as the Prime Contractor to re-roof eight separate sections of the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center. The facility is a mixed-use facility consisting of inpatient floors, medical offices, and administrative space. The project included the demolition of sections approximately 40,000 sf of mod-bit and built-up roofing, installation of a new TPO system that brought the facility up to code. The roof sections varied in elevation from 2 stories to 7 stories and elevator penthouses. Warfeather successfully installed various safety devices on all sections of roofing to include tie off points, railings and safety lines. The project required detailed safety plans, lift plans, and infection control measures compliant with VA specifications.
