The mitigation required the coordination of tree service subcontractors to work with the utility company to restore power to the facility while mobilizing its own forces to begin removal of earthen debris to slow the movement of the Hillside. The stabilization solution required the removal of 600 truckloads of debris, excavation of unstable material, installation of bracing, and concrete erosion control. A 700’ water diversion was installed to prevent further erosion of the site. The contract was completed in 42 days with 12 days of rain delay.
